The University of Westminster spans four campuses throughout London, with the Marleybone Campus specifically housing the Westminster Business School and School of Architecture and Cities. The campus has recently completed an extensive renovation to update its facilities, creating a more modern and inviting environment for students and staff.
Commercial design and fit-out contractor The Bluum Group, required a washroom solution that would be hardwearing and durable and meet the design aesthetics of the project. Our WT2 Sloping Thermoformed Wash Troughs were selected in the crisp Everest White. The wash troughs feature a thermoformed body that creates a sleek, seamless, curved finish without any sharp edges that could trap dirt. This design promotes better hygiene by minimising bacterial buildup and making them easy to clean.
Sensor Taps were specified for the area, perfect for a public washroom to help minimise the spread of germs and bacteria with contactless operation. The automatic shut-off also helps to reduce water consumption and avoid accidental flooding. Cantilever Brackets were chosen to support the wash troughs creating a modern floating appearance, also ensuring that the area underneath could be thoroughly cleaned.
12mm solid surface splashbacks were also supplied in Everest White and utilised as shelving - a great way to ensure continuity across surfaces and bring the washroom design together.
