East Quay 5 is a 35,000 sq. ft refurbished office building set over five levels located within the Quayside area of Newcastle, one of the cities most recognised locations. Recent works have seen the introduction of a new contemporary reception area, open plan floorplates with fully exposed services. As well as additional secure cycle storage, with high quality shower and changing facilities and communal meeting room facilities.
The modern, premium specification has been carried throughout the entire building, extending to the washroom facilities. Working with Roccul, we harnessed our internal fabrication expertise to ensure that our wash troughs met the design specification of S-L-M-D. We adapted our Solid Surface WT3 Flat Bottomed Thermoformed Wash Trough, incorporating an extended bag shelf to lengthen the wash trough, perfectly aligning with the envisioned design.
Supplied in the classic Everest White, the wash trough benefits from a thermoformed body which provides a seamless, smooth, curved finish with minimal hard edging that could collect dirt offering improved hygiene. The non-porous nature of solid surface makes it resistant to stains, less likely to harbour bacteria and easy to clean and maintain, ideal for the public washrooms.
Cantilever Brackets were used to support the wash trough creating a modern floating appearance, and Matt Black Lever Taps were chosen to complete the monochrome design.
